Bruce Alton leads discussion on accelerating robotics adoption in Canadian construction and infrastructure
RoBIM Co-Founder and CEO Bruce Alton co-hosted the “Can Robotics Help Canada Build Faster? Accelerating Automation in Construction & Infrastructure” roundtable at the Canadian Robotics Council’s 2026 Annual Symposium in Toronto.
The session brought together leaders from robotics, construction, academia, government, and investment to explore where robotics can create the greatest value across Canada’s built environment and how the industry can accelerate adoption and commercialization.
Discussion focused on high-impact applications for construction robotics, barriers to broader deployment, and opportunities for collaboration across Canada’s robotics and construction sectors.
The roundtable also helped inform priorities for the Canadian Robotics Council’s Construction Technology & Automation Committee, including opportunities to address Canada’s construction productivity, labour, and housing challenges through robotics and automation.
